Speaking

Andrew is available to speak at lectures, after dinner speeches, training events and group work. Popular themes and topics that he is often asked to speak on are:

  • Let a 1000 Flowers Bloom. Andrew has forged strong links through his projects with the Private Sector: O2, Lloyds TSB, and HLM Architects are but a few of the present names that Andrew Mawson Partnerships work with. Andrew believes that the future of successful businesses depends on developing mutually beneficial partnerships with social entrepreneurs.
  • From the Blair Years to the Big Society. Andrew has played a key role in advising different Governments over the last twenty years. Andrew gives a rare and personal insight into working with political leaders and a unique understanding of life in the House of Lords.
  • Joining the Dots – Creating a Meaningful Legacy for the Olympics. Andrew is a Director of the London Legacy Development Corporation. Over the next 25 years this company will plan, develop, and manage the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. Andrew is all too aware that the recent BBC sitcom ‘2012’ struck a chord with the public. He is determined that the London 2012 Legacy will be about more than sport and rhetoric.
  • The Social Entrepreneur: Making Communities Work. Andrew’s inspiring book demonstrates, through his own experience how, by seeking creative, dynamic, entrepreneurial ways of tackling seemingly intractable social problems, we can all make real changes in our communities. Seminars

If it is team building, business and leadership skills, or troubleshooting you need to focus on, we can do more than assist and advise. We run a beautiful Grade II listed conference centre in the Cotswolds: The Stanton Guildhouse. Andrew frequently hosts seminars and workshops there and users that have benefitted include: Unilever, Barclays Bank, The Guinness Trust, The University of Warwick, and Tower Hamlets Council.

Andrew Mawson Partnerships also share the London offices of HLM Architects, a well-respected, international firm that specialises in public sector buildings. The Comprehensive Spending Review of 2010 emphasized the need to reshape public services, shifting power to local authorities. To succeed, reform must be based on strategic principles, working with the community and breaking down the barriers between local government and the taxpayer. AMP and HLM are chairing seminars with senior people from the public and private sectors to debate and develop these principles. Through this national programme of Thought Leadership Seminars, HLM and AMP aim to increase awareness of how to improve frontline services through creative thinking and intelligent funding to local authorities, their key officers, and the community.
