The aim of the Top 200 “Deprived Neighbourhoods – Big Society project” is to join up activities across public services and enable the Big Society to flourish.
Andrew enjoyed demonstrating how the Big Society might look in practice. He pointed out the many bureaucratic barriers that social entrepreneurs have faced in the past from Government.
We were encouraged to work with the Top 200 team because of their pledge to work with communities to understand how Government needs to respond to and meet remaining challenges and to make the most of opportunities to deliver more integrated public services in the most deprived neighbourhoods.
