Carlos is an Associate of Leaside Regeneration Ltd, responsible for applying Leaside’s expertise to other areas of the country and internationally. During the last five years, Carlos has supported the entrepreneurial skills of health organisations as part of Big Lottery Fund programmes. He has also put together a team that uses films to project the nature of social enterprises. Carlos has lectured on social enterprise and social media -and is responsible for this website!

Carlos is currently a member of the Department of Health/Office of the Third Sector steering group on social return on investment. He is also governor of a Primary school in Cambridge. Previously, Carlos was an Associate of the Prime Minister’s Delivery Unit

Carlos has worked for over 20 years helping organisations achieve results and identify what works and what doesn’t. He has managed large projects, including the assessment of EU programmes worth more than £25 billion and has worked in over 20 countries, including many in Africa. He previously worked at the World Bank. Carlos holds an MA from Yale University (International Relations and Economics) and an MPhil from Columbia (Economics).

Carlos thinks that improving the lives of people in East London through regeneration is a bit easier than doing it in Africa.
